  INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING WITH eBOOKS! 

Accessing your CourseSmart eBook 
These instructions will help you work with your eBook. You may print your CourseSmart eBook from your computer, 10 pages at a time. We regret that we can no longer offer the option to print the full book per the publisher's guidelines. click here!
  Welcome to UIW Online! 

You are just in time...

This is the launching point to get registered and approved for classes in the upcoming term. 


  1. To see the list of available courses, click the “Spring I 2014” link in the navigation bar near the top of the page. When registration is available the link will be visible.
  2. The first thing that you need to do is to update your profile. In order to process your registration properly we need your PIDM (Student ID). Log into the portal and then click on Student in the main menu.
  3. Next click on Student Administration which will bring up your current  profile. Scroll to the bottom and click on Edit.
  4. The second field is for your Student ID. Fill it in and then scroll clear to the bottom and click on Update. If any of your other profile information is incorrect, please update it now.
  5. Click on Home in the main menu and follow the instructions below for registration.
  6. To register, click on the Course Registration button. Select the box next to the course you want to register for, and click the “register“ link at the bottom of the page.

Anytime you have changes to your personal information, click on the eProfile button, then click on Edit at the bottom and fill out the form.  You must also send an email to virtual@uiwtx.edu so we can update our records.

  Things you should know: 

Where do I send my transcripts? 
We are required by accreditation standards to keep an official transcript on file for every institution that you have attended. Contact our previous schools and have them sent to: Virtual University University of the Incarnate Word 4301 Broadway CPO #324 San Antonio, TX 78209 Do not forget the CPO as it ensures the transcripts will arrive to the appropriate office. 
New Student Orientation 
Come on in and take a look around! Once you access the IZIO log in page, use this information to access the course: Username: O_Student1 Password: 64594 To access the log in page for IZIO, click here for more information...
*ATTENTION* Drop Policy 
It is the student's responsibility to drop their course within the 100% refund period to avoid assessment of tuition and fees. There will not be a university-initiated drop for non-participation. If you do not plan to attend, you must drop your courses by Friday at 5pm of the first week of the term to be within the 100% refund period. You may do so by emailing your request to virtual@uiwtx.edu. A $50 administrative fee is applied for all drops from courses offered through UIW Online.
